The high school experience
Nicholas has overall enjoyed his time in high school, explaining how high school is great because you can see yourself grow as a student and a person. He's very proud of the things he has accomplished at DHS these past two years, and his spot in not only the top 10 but the top 5 shows him that he has put a lot of work into himself for this recognition."I feel really proud that I was able to make it into the top 5 because it really reflects how much effort I’ve put in over the years."
"My favorite thing about high school is how you can see yourself grow up in a way. You’re still a student as you always have been, but more opportunities open up for you and you get closer to the future you always imagined when you were little."

"Nick has been clear about what he wants for his future since I first met him at the beginning of his Sophomore year. He wants to pursue studies and a career in medicine. And I believe he is completely genuine when he says that this is because he feels like that path will allow him the opportunity to best help others"

Taking the next step
After graduating high school, Nicholas plans on attending Quinnipiac University to major in Biomedical Science while working a part time job. He wants to study for his masters in Biomedical Science and with that degree, he wants to become a pathologist's assistant. Nicholas is aware of his nervousness leaving high school to attend university, but he looks forward to the things waiting for him after graduation."I am a little nervous to be staying away from home but I'm excited for the new freedoms and opportunities that’ll come with it."

"He will, no doubt, make a valued contribution to whichever program he chooses."

Advice for underclassmen striving for top 10
Nicholas expresses not only the importance of maintaining your academic standing, but the importance to take care of yourself as well."My advice would be more than to just try hard in your classes, but to also allow yourself time to relax. Having free time that you’ll enjoy is extremely vital to success because without it, you’ll become fatigued from all the stress until you can’t give it your all anymore."
